Loading the bowl of a hookahset can be challenging at times if not done correctly.

Let's move on to the next step. Make sure the shisha tobacco is finely chopped enough to allow heat to pass through the bowl evenly. You need to have more manageable pieces, and if you see any large stems, you can remove them and set them aside.

Grab a sheet of foil and place it over your loaded bowl of shisha tobacco. Ensure that the foil is centered. Next, wrap the foil carefully around the top of the bowl as if you are tightly covering a dish of leftovers with aluminum foil. While doing this, make sure that your coals remain suspended above the shisha. You would also have to make sure that the foil doesn't sag. The coal needs to sit right on top of your hookah setup. After you have successfully secured the bowl's rim, use your hands to firmly squeeze the excess foil to the sides of your bowl. This will ensure that the foil will stay in place during your session. 

Once the foil has been set, you would have to poke lots of tiny holes in the foil to allow for good heat transfer from the hookah coals to the shisha tobacco. Make sure that you do not make holes that are too big! Creating such holes would mix the tobacco with the charcoal ash. Instead, you can use a sewing needle to make the holes. This will ensure that the holes aren't too big for your smoking session.
